Just after 9am this morning, the members of the WFD were dispatched to a reported car fire on Route 208 Southbound.
Chief Murphy #230 signed into service and arrived on scene to locate a late model vehicle with an engine compartment fire on Route 208 South just south of Ewing Avenue.
Engine #231 (OIC BC Vanderplaat) and Engine #233 (OIC BC DeBlock) were the first units to arrive on scene followed by the remainder of the Wyckoff Assignment.
The crew from Engine #231 assisted by the crew from Engine #233 quickly stretched two lines to fire and were able to quickly extinguish the fire before it spead to the passenger compartment.
