The Wyckoff Fire Department Members have started the process of preparing for the Annual Departmental Inspection Process. The Annual Inspection Tradition started over 60 years ago when several members got together and came up with the idea to have all three Wyckoff Fire Companies compete against one and other in a competition that would be judged by Chief's from neighboring fire departments and many other dignitaries. The main focus behind this tradition was and still remains today to provide the residents of Wyckoff with the most highly skilled volunteers with the most well maintained equipment in the area! We are all proud to say that this tradition is still going strong as evident by the hard work our volunteers exhibit on a nightly basis during the month of March to prepare for this intense process. This years Inspection will be held on Friday Night March 12th. During the Inspection, Chief Murphy will escort his hand selected group of inspectors from company to company during which time the inspectors will check the cleanliness and functionality of tools and equipment, training and knowledge of members and overall company pride. Good luck to all members participating and good luck to each respective company, keep the tradition going strong!
