On Thursday Evening at approximately 10:30pm the Wyckoff Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Rt. 208 South just south of Ewing Avenue.
Chief Murphy #230 signed into service and arrived on scene a few moments later. Upon arrival Chief Murphy reported a two car motor vehicle accident with one vehicle into the woods with the driver trapped.
Rescue #243 (OIC DC Rose), Engine #233 (OIC DC Koeber), Engine #231 (OIC FF. T. Brock) and Engine #232 (OIC DC Lorusso) all responded into the scene.
Upon the arrival of the WFD, crews went to work stabilizing the vehicles and evaluating the patients condition who was heavily entrapped in the drivers seat of a late model SUV. The crews were able to remove the roof from the vehicle and extricate the driver from the vehicle. The driver was then turned over to EMS for evaluation and transport to the hospital.
